Katy Moscoso has served as a human sciences specialist for EFNEP and Snap-Ed programming at Iowa State University since 2015. She started with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in 2012 as a program assistant for Snap-Ed, transitioned into a supervision role from 2015 to 2019, and is now currently working part-time on special projects. Katy holds a Master of Science degree in journalism and mass communication from Iowa State University as well as a degree in child, adult and family services from Iowa State University. Katy has helped with various trainings across the state for both EFNEP and Snap-Ed programming. In 2017 she worked on a special project highlighting Spend Smart. Eat Smart. materials with the use of iPads for direct education programming in Iowa. Katy is currently working on implementing a mentorship program in Iowa and is continuously looking for opportunities to share the good work happening in Iowa with other states and communities.
