Maria Carmen Lambea, MPH, is the Ohio EFNEP Program Director. She is a native from Spain, raised in Mexico. She received her MD degree from the Universidad La Salle and her Internal Medicine specialization from the UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico) in Mexico City. She practiced as a family doctor and as an Internist in Mexico for several years. She holds a Master in Public Health with specialization in Health Behavior and Health Promotion from the Ohio State University. After working for four years in a non-profit organization serving Latinos, she started as the Ohio EFNEP coordinator in 2005. Some of the things she enjoys is coaching and mentoring paraprofessional and supervisors staff. Mari Carmen loves to see how the EFNEP program has an impact in the lives of limited income families.
