Jamie Dollahite, PhD, is a professor of Community Nutrition at Cornell University. She is the Director of Food and Nutrition Education in Communities (FNEC), of which EFNEP is a part. She is also Director of the USDA-funded Northeast Regional Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Center of Excellence. For the last 25 years, she has worked in the area of nutrition education for low-income audiences designed to prevent obesity and chronic disease. Her work closely integrates research and extension, including studies of program management and delivery practices, as well as development of curricula and valid outcome measures to assess behavioral change among program participants. For the last 12 years, she has lead a project in New York State focused on policy, systems, and environmental changes that make healthy food and activity choices easier.
