This poster will describe methodology and preliminary results of a bi-phasic study being conducted at West Virginia University to assess perceptions of low-income individuals among paraprofessional employees of the Family Nutrition Program (EFNEP and SNAP-Ed). Factors assessed include personal and professional experience with low-income populations, political views and personal income/economic class. The results of this research may be used to create strategies to address biases through a new employee orientation and training process.
