Denise Benoit-Moctezuma has 20 years of experience in community health/nutrition, including leading curriculum development and implementation/evaluation of nutrition, cooking, gardening, and physical activity interventions with limited-income youth, pregnant teens, and families from racially/culturally diverse backgrounds in Maryland and managing diabetes education projects along the Texas-Mexico border. For the past 14 years, she has served as a regional program coordinator/supervisor with the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) at the University of Maryland Extension in Prince George’s, Charles, and Cecil Counties. She received her B.S. in Biology/Premed from the University of Texas-San Antonio in 1997 and her Master’s in Public Heath - Global Health Promotion from George Washington University’s School of Public Health in 2003.
